Dr. Md.Abdullah Al Mahmud (Shovon) is a dedicated pediatric surgeon with expertise in neonatal surgery, general pediatric surgery pediatric urology. He is committed to providing optimal surgical care for children through ongoing research and evidence-based practices.
In 2016 Dr. Shovon joined in MS course in Bangladesh Shishu Hospital and Institute under BMU(Bangladesh Medical University) , previously known as Dhaka Shishu Hospital, after completing his MBBS from Sher-E-Bangla Medical College. He was dedicated to his work and patients throughout his career at BSHI. Dr. Shovon kept up-to-date with his academic and research skills, which allowed him to receive his MS in pediatric surgery in 2023. Furthermore, he joined in BCS health cadre service in 2019.Dr. Shovon’s hard work and determination made him the youngest pediatric surgeon in this country.
This person has an exceptional history in scientific research, having presented numerous papers at national and international conferences and publishing highly respected research articles. He also holds a prestigious role as general member of the Association of Pediatric Surgeons of Bangladesh (APSB). He sincerely attend in all national & international conferences held by APSB.
In 2024, he got the most prestigious award in BCS cadre service that is called DG award.DG award is such an honour for a cadre in his/her service life which was giver by director general of NAPD.Former DG Mr.Sukesh Kumar Sarker awarded him this award in 123 rd batch of NAPD Foundation training in Dhaka.Dr.Shovon is currently working as registrar (Surgery)Â in KBFGH.
